Q6
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing
this product?
When doing this task for Media we have learnt a lot of new skills and
expand upon ones that we have already had. We have developed our knowledge with
the filming and editing and the production of our film in general.
We used programs such as; tube chops, Prezies, Anamatics, Sliderockets
and screencasts to help us improve the quality of our work and make our
research more super visual. By using the animatic we were able to see what our opening
sequence could potentially look like and if there was something we thought defiantly
needed changing we could change it. When filming this we used two types of
camera which was digital and still and used a tripod to steady out shots. On the
editing side of things we used programs such as livetype to creating near
professional titles and used programs such as final cut to make our opening
sequence look better than just using Imovie.
Whilst doing the project I never really had any past experience with
livetype so when using it became a bit frustrating as I didn’t really know what
I was doing. Once the film was exported Livetype was used to create the titles
and you could place them where you wanted them to appear on your film and how
long for.
For me finalcut was the most difficult to use because at times the
rendering didn’t work as other parts of the film were still in use which made
it hard for me to see what was playing and what wasn’t. I found it hard to add
effects to the opening seuqnece because once you found what didn’t worked you
often found it looked better than you thought it did.

Question 3
When we sat down as a group and decided what distribution
company we should use we all came to a decision rather quickly to use artificial
eye due to them taking the rather abnormal issues and putting them into a film.
Our film is also very small and budget and we wanted to go for an independent
company because they produce the type of film we wanted to produce.
